Happy Fourth of July, everyone! I hope you’ve all got some fun activities planned! I’m a sucker for any kind of celebration—which is probably why I love doing cake smash photography so much! Silas’ one year birthday session may not have had fireworks, but it was still a total blast. (And let’s get real, I’m pretty sure cake trumps fireworks. Actually…I think cake trumps everything!)
Kirsten brought in the whole family so we could celebrate Silas turning one and also get updated family pictures at the same time. A first birthday cake smash photo session can be the perfect opportunity to get new family pictures, especially with Shanna Chess Photography! My full milestone sessions include an optional setup for parent and sibling images—so you might as well take advantage of it! Isn’t this the cutest family, by the way? Such adorable kiddos.
I’m happy to report that Silas shares my views on cake—He loved his birthday treat! Cake smashes are always more fun with a theme, so we did the cutest mustache theme for the little man’s big day. Oh, and can I just comment on that Mr. One-derful suspenders outfit? So so cute! We just had to get him to turn around for a couple of shots to show off how awesome his outfit was. (Which he was totally fine with, by the way. As long as the cake was in front of him, he was happy!)
I had so much fun partying it up with this little man and it was such a great bonus to have the whole family there for portraits! I hope you’ve enjoyed the photos from Silas’ one year birthday cake smash—and that you have an amazing party of your own today to celebrate the holiday!
