What a fantastic senior session this was! As August is drawing to a close and back-to-school season is just around the corner, I thought this would be the perfect time to share another batch of high school senior portraits from earlier this year.

I’ve been photographing Michael for probably over ten years now, ever since he was just a little guy, so it was extra special for me to be able to document this big milestone in his life. From little kid sessions to senior portraits…I can’t believe how fast the time goes!

Michael has been a joy to photograph every single time, and he knew exactly how to show up for this photoshoot: Guitar, drums, and a sharp suit. One look and you already know he has a whole story to tell! Class of 2026 looks good on this guy. It’s tough to pick a top session from the many we’ve had together, but this one might just be my favorite yet.

One thing I always enjoy is highlighting the interests and personality of the seniors I photograph. Michael is very musical and enjoys playing both the guitar and drums, so we definitely wanted to capture that and had fun creating some unique portraits showcasing his musical interests.

Senior portraits that look like this don’t just happen by accident. They happen when a kid walks in knowing exactly who he is. I try to make sure that everyone who walks into my studio ends up having a great time and feeling confident about who they are. I am constantly impressed by the teens I work with and what great attitudes, unique interests, and big dreams they have.

Congratulations to Michael and all the graduating seniors of 2026! And for the class of 2027—I hope I’ll be seeing you in my studio next year! Can’t wait to hear from you!
