I have been photographing this family for many years—ever since Brittanie was pregnant with their first baby! As a Eugene photographer I love capturing memories for every family that comes to me. But I have to admit, there is something extra special about the relationship I develop with families who come back again and again down the years. Seeing the arrival of each new little one and celebrating special milestones with them—I wouldn’t trade it for anything!
For each of her two babies, Brittanie has done something different for her maternity session. When they were expecting their oldest (Knox) we did a maternity session in the snow, with their next baby (Ace) we went to the beach for pregnancy pictures. And now that Brittanie and Colby are expecting twins (!!) we went in a different direction again with a studio session and milk bath. So much fun!
Brittanie wanted some of her photos to include the whole family, so Colby and the boys joined us in the studio for part of her session. I always love doing couples pictures during a pregnancy shoot, and it’s always so adorable when older siblings join in too!
I also loved Brittanie’s new hair color! I feel like that gorgeous shade of red was just made to be set off with a black dress—so that’s what we did! She also made a couple of other maternity gown selections from my client closet, as well as a beautiful black lace outfit when it was time for a pampering milk bath. She was so pretty in everything and had that wonderful pregnancy glow!
I am so very happy for this family—and after Brittanie’s studio and milk bath maternity session I was so excited to snuggle those sweet twins! I only had a few weeks to wait before I got to spend time with them in my Eugene, Oregon photography studio. They were absolutely adorable (a boy and a girl)!
