Happy New Year, everyone! I can’t wait to see what 2024 holds for my family and all of yours. I have to admit though, I am just a little sad to say goodbye to 2023. It was a wonderful year filled with so many great memories—both memories of my own and also time spent documenting the sweet moments of families throughout Oregon (and even a few from out of state) in my work as a Eugene and Springfield area photographer.
One of those 2023 sessions was this maternity photography shoot for Laurel. As any expecting mama would, she wanted beautiful pregnancy pictures that emphasized her growing belly…but she also wanted her gorgeous hair to be a big part of her photos too. I was happy to oblige! I always think long hair is so elegant, and I loved highlighting hers during our session.
We chose a few different gowns in such pretty colors, and also did some nude maternity photos. This is something that seems to be becoming ever more popular, and I love that so many women are embracing their beauty and feeling more comfortable in their own skin. Having stunning portraits of yourself is such a powerful, confidence-boosting thing, and can bring back so many good memories of your pregnancy. I honestly think every woman should invest in a portrait session during this special time of life!
I am enjoying looking back on this and other sessions from 2023, but also so excited to see what 2024 brings. I am sure it will be amazing, and I am looking forward to continuing to provide beautiful photographs for families to cherish through the years. I already have lots of sessions on the books, so be sure to get in tough as soon as possible to reserve a date on my calendar. Let’s capture those memories together and make this year one to remember!
