When I blogged Amanda’s maternity session back in July, I told you to keep an eye out on the blog for her daughter’s baby pictures—and here they are! I think you’ll agree they were worth the wait!
Maisy was just a gorgeous baby and I was so thrilled to have her in my Eugene, Oregon photography studio as one of my last newborn sessions in December of last year. December gets so busy with holidays and preparing for the upcoming year, but I am never too busy to welcome little ones to the studio. As a newborn photographer, that’s kind of what I live for! I am never happier than when I’m snuggling these brand new little ones and helping capture those sweet memories for their parents.
For her maternity pictures, Amanda had wanted a bit of a boho vibe, with neutral colors and some great textures. We decided to do something similar for Maisy’s newborn pictures. I love the soft neutrals and lovely fabrics and headbands we chose! It’s certainly not necessary to use a similar theme for pregnancy and baby photos, but it can be a good idea if you’re wanting to use them together in the same album or perhaps as an artwork cluster in your home. Just something to think about as you plan your newborn session!
Maisy had the prettiest skin—just like her mama! And with that dark hair, I think it’s safe to say that she is going to grow up gorgeous! Amanda and Mickey were absolutely overjoyed with their new little girl. The classic black and white portraits we did of baby Maisy and her family turned out exactly like I was hoping!
