I know that we’ve still got a ways to go, but it’s around this time of year that I start dreaming of spring! Which is why I thought now would be the perfect time to share these adorable family photos from a session I did last year. They’re filled with sunshine and all those warm vibes of late spring/early summer. I hope they’re just what you need to make it through the next few weeks of wintry weather.

Amanda booked a one-year baby plan with me, which included a maternity session, newborn session, and then a couple of additional sessions that can be either baby-only or family photos. Many times clients book my baby plans with milestone sessions where the baby is still the focus. This is a great option—but it’s not the only one! It just depends on what you want!

Amanda decided she wanted the third session of her baby plan to be more family focused and to take place outdoors instead of in the studio. This is an option I also love for my clients! It makes total sense to use one of the sessions in your bundle to get updated family photos a few months after you’ve welcomed a new baby.

Little Bobbie was about 6 months old when we did these family photos. This is a great age to photograph babies as they are usually sitting up independently and are super smiley. They’re also at the stage where they love to interact with familiar faces—so a family session is a great way to coax out those smiles and giggles.

We met at Mount Pisgah, not far from my studio in Eugene, Oregon. This is such a pretty place to get pictures and the weather was gorgeous. What a lovely evening with Amanda, Robert, and their three sweet girls!
