I love all the pretty fall colors that are starting to happen here in Oregon, but here’s a flashback to some of the spring colors from earlier this year! This was such a pretty family photoshoot at the Rhododendron Garden at Hendricks Park.
Kristin, Brian, and their two kiddos, Matthew and Sophie, were just a joy! Kristin and I met and became friends through a local non-profit we both volunteer for, and once she found out I was a photographer she did a little more exploring on my portfolio. She loved what she saw and quickly booked a session. I’m so glad she did! It was wonderful to spend an evening with her and her sweet family.
Our times were somewhat limited as Brian has a particularly busy schedule. He’s one of the Oregon football coaches and spring practices were in full swing. Spring weather in the Willamette Valley can be a little hit and miss (we get lots of rain in the spring) so we were super lucky that the weather cooperate on the evening we chose. No rain in sight, just that lovely sunset glow—but with all the vibrant greens and pretty blossoms that those spring rains bring!
Hendricks Park is one of my favorite places in Eugene for outdoor family photo sessions, and I was excited to introduce Kristin and her family to this beautiful location just a short way from campus. We had so much fun exploring the trails and watching the kids play. Outdoor sessions are a perfect choice for littles because they’re very laidback and a bit less formal than studio sessions. I’ll have families do a few poses, but I also love just capturing the natural moments that come up without any prompting.
I’m so glad I was able to do this session for this wonderful family!
Spring and fall are some of the most popular seasons for family photos, but I’m happy to help you capture your memories year-round. Get in touch and let’s find a date that works for both of us!
