My last newborn session of 2025 was with one of my favorite families. This is the third baby I have photographed for Jesika and Mike and it is such a beautiful experience every time. They make the most adorable children!

It was so fun to have this couple back in my Eugene, Oregon studio. I love reconnecting with my families and it’s such a privilege to watch them grow and to be there for some of the most important moments of their lives.

Best Friends

It was especially fun to see Braelynn and Brooklynn again. They have grown up so much—and yet they’re still as cute as ever! And they’re totally smitten with their new baby brother. Who can blame them? I think my favorite part of this newborn session was just watching them snuggle with Bohdynn and capturing those sweet sibling relationships.

We were right between Christmas and New Year’s at the time of this photoshoot, so a cute little snowman pic seemed in order!

The Importance of Newborn Photos

The newborn stage is quiet and oh-so-brief. It goes by faster than you’d believe and is impossible to recreate later, which is one of the reasons I always encourage expecting families to book early. Of course, we can get sweet baby pictures at any time during that first year, but there’s something extra special and irreplaceable about newborn photos.

If you’re wondering if a newborn session is for you, feel free to explore my portfolio and more of the blog. While I accommodate a variety of styles, my biggest focus is always on connection and detail. My newborn sessions are intentionally slow and gentle, with plenty of time to capture the magic and sweet moments that make this such an incredible season of life.
