Eugene Oregon Maternity Photographer: Amanda and Maisy

A maternity session is more than photographs—it’s a love letter to your future self! I was so honored to help record this part of Amanda’s journey.

Amanda did an outdoor maternity session with me earlier, but she also wanted to come to me for a studio session with her daughter Maisy. I photographed Amanda when she was pregnant with Maisy and also did newborn photos for her, so it was wonderful to spend time with the two of them in my Eugene, Oregon portrait studio.

First, it was Amanda waiting for Maisy. Then Maisy in her mama’s arms. And now, a big sister waiting alongside her mother. The story continues, written in love and light—and it is beautiful!

Amanda brought her own dresses this time (which were so pretty!) but she did want to include my silk fabric so we could get some similar shots to the ones we got when she was pregnant with Maisy. It can be really fun to include similar elements within two different maternity or newborn sessions in the same family—an echo across time that makes both sessions feel visually connected even if you choose a very different style.

We had such a wonderful time with this maternity photoshoot. Maisy was adorable and Amanda absolutely rocked it! It was such a pleasure to capture these beautiful memories in exactly the way Amanda was envisioning.
