Eugene Oregon Maternity Photographer: Studio Session with Amanda and Nathan

Such a beautiful studio maternity session with this stunning mama-to-be! Pregnancy has a power all its own, and she wears it with the kind of grace that feels iconic. She was absolutely glowing in these images!

Amanda and Nathan were hoping for an outdoor session, but November in Oregon is a little unpredictable. Sometimes the weather is gorgeous, and sometimes it’s more…wet and drippy. We were hoping for some late-autumn sunshine but the weather was not on our side. On the day of our shoot it was absolutely pouring and freezing cold outside. Not exactly the lovely backdrop we’d been hoping for.

Rather than trying to reschedule we decided to be flexible and just change the location for this maternity photoshoot to my Eugene, Oregon studio. Although it wasn’t what she’d originally planned on, Amanda ended up being so happy that we made the switch. Not only was it a cozy and comfortable experience, but she ending up loving the look of her studio images. It just goes to show that sometimes the best things can come from the unexpected!

Amanda was such a pleasure to photograph. She chose a few different dresses from my client closet and we also did part of the shoot with a more casual outfit of jeans and a black bra. She looked incredible in everything!

Nathan joined us for several of our images, and I loved capturing those sweet couples portraits as they get ready to welcome this new little life together. Their story is growing—and so is their beautiful family!

I’m so glad we didn’t let the weather stop us from creating these gorgeous photo memories. Amanda carries that new life with a mix of strength and softness that really shone through in every image and we were all thrilled with the way these portraits turned out. Remember, it’s your story that matters, not where it’s told.
