Eugene Oregon Maternity Photographer: Brittany and Jonah

Every maternity session is a reminder that there is nothing more powerful, more beautiful, or more awe-inspiring than a mother bringing new life into the world.

I was so excited to do this session for Brittany and Jonah as they prepared to welcome their little one! Jonah and I go way back to high school days (almost 25 years ago now—crazy!) and although we did see other in passing a few times since then (mostly back in his Dutch Brothers days here in Eugene) it’s been a long time so it was amazing to reconnect with him after all these years and to meet his beautiful wife!

Brittany decided to do a full Signature studio-only session and added on a Petite milk bath session because she really wanted both types of pictures but didn’t want to shorten her time in the studio or limit her clothing options. She had a few pieces of her own and also used some from my client wardrobe, so we had lots of outfit variety!

She also rented some gorgeous head pieces to wear in her photos and flew in over 300 orchids from Hawaii to use in both the studio and her milk bath. They were absolutely stunning! I feel like maternity milk baths always have something of an ethereal quality to them, and the orchids made this one extra special. Every detail was intentional and every moment breathtaking. Brittany’s beauty, strength, and grace truly shone in this session, celebrating the life she carries in the most stunning way.

There’s something incredible about capturing the final weeks before everything changes—the anticipation, the love, and the quiet moments before a new chapter begins. I was so honored to be able to do that for Brittany and Jonah as they got ready for the arrival of their precious baby!
