Absolutely loved this gorgeous fall maternity session! If you’re wondering why I’m only just now getting around to sharing these photos, it’s not because of any lack of excitement on my part. But they hadn’t shared the news of their pregnancy on social media yet, deciding to wait until after Julia was born before making the announcement. I didn’t want to ruin the surprise, so I held on to these photos for a while until baby Julia had arrived, the news was out, and I could finally share them!

Kristina, Jerome, and their sweet little girl Jaini met me for an outdoor maternity session at Mt. Pisgah. I’ve been photographing Jaini ever since she was born, so she’s super comfortable with me now and I think I could even go so far as to say we are buddies. 😊 It’s so fun to get to know these littles and capture their sweet, hilarious personalities.

We had a great time at this session—and so did their two doggies, Tule and Nalu, who are members of the family and always join us for pictures! When pets and kids are involved, there’s no better place for a photoshoot than the great outdoors, where everyone can run around, take breaks, and work off their energy as needed.

Autumn weather in Oregon can be pretty hit or miss, but we got lucky! It was a bit overcast, but no rain, and the filtered sunshine was perfect. Mount Pisgah is such a fun place to explore and provided such pretty backdrops for these maternity photos. Kristina even went outside of her normal vibe and opted for some photos down by the river wearing my gold sequin dress. She absolutely rocked it!

I’m so happy I could capture another milestone moment for this beautiful family as they got ready to welcome their new baby girl , and I would love to do the same for you. Whether you’re expecting a little one, celebrating a milestone, or just living your best life with your family, I hope you’ll choose Shanna Chess Photography to document your beautiful story.
